Come & see! Stay for a morning.

Nothing on a website beats a morning in the building. Walk the halls of Franklin's only bilingual immersion school, hear Spanish and English side by side, and meet the teachers who'll know your child by name.

What to expect · Qué esperar

A relaxed visit, not a sales pitch.

Family tours are a chance for parents and their children to tour our classrooms, meet our staff, and learn what makes our school different — a Christ-centered focus on Biblical Character, Authentic Community, and Cultural Diversity. They're also the first step in our application process.

1

A warm welcome

You'll be met at the door and shown around at your family's pace. No pressure — just a real look at a regular school day.

2

See real classrooms

Watch two-way immersion in action: native English and native Spanish speakers side by side, learning to read, write, and speak in both languages.

3

Meet the team

Say hello to Kelsey and the teachers. Bring every question — the daily rhythm, the Friday virtual day, how faith is woven through it all.

4

Talk affordability

We'll walk through the NC Opportunity Scholarship and what tuition could look like for your family — as low as $48/month for qualifying families.

Any school morning, Monday–Thursday.

We tour while school is in session, so you'll see real classrooms at work — not empty rooms. Offer two dates in the form above and we'll confirm one.

Kelsey Parrish

Director & Co-Founder

Kelsey grew up in Franklin, taught Spanish and ESL for years, and co-founded Sol & Son with her husband, David, out of a dream to raise bilingual kids of their own. She personally guides visiting families from first hello through enrollment — scholarship paperwork included.

Before you come · Antes de venir

Quick questions.

Tours are by appointment, Monday through Thursday, beginning at 8:45 AM — while school is in session, so you see the real thing. There are no tours on Fridays, since Friday is our virtual day for Kindergarten and up.

We don't rush families through. You'll have time to see the classrooms, meet the teachers, and get every question answered. On a tight morning? Tell us in the form and we'll plan around it.

Please bring them — family tours are exactly that. It's worth watching how your child takes to the classrooms and the teachers.

Just yourselves. If it helps, jot down your questions ahead of time — parents often ask about the daily schedule, the Friday virtual day, and how the Opportunity Scholarship math works for their income.

Sí. Choose "Español" or "Both / Ambos" in the form and your visit will be guided in Spanish. About half our students come from Spanish-speaking homes — your family will be right at home here.

We're a private school serving Pre-K through 2nd grade, and new students join at or before 1st grade. Two-way immersion works by building Spanish from the very beginning, so we aren't able to place new students into 2nd grade or beyond — though we add a grade each year as our oldest class moves up, and younger siblings can start from Pre-K. Not sure where your child fits? Ask us — we're glad to talk it through. See Grades & Programs for the full picture.

It's something I never imagined we'd have access to while living in a more rural area — a school immersed in an array of cultures and the Spanish language, all while being firmly centered in Christ.

JAJen A.Sol & Son parent

From the moment we joined, we felt welcomed, supported, and truly treated like family. The teachers and staff genuinely care about each child, not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well.
